Airvent Cupholder 3D Components (DIY)
3D Components to make your own airvent cupholder for Golf and Jetta MK2 Dashboards.
To use it you would need to buy and add the OEM cupholder mechanism.
The mechanisms with the following numbers will fit:
- 4B0885995
- 6X0857558
- 6X0857558B
These could be found in the following cars:
- Arosa
- Lupo
- Audi A4
- Audi A6
- Sharan
- Alhambra
- Galaxy
- Polo 6n2
In order to build the set you would need to do the following:
1. Buy a Cupholder mechanism
2. Clue the 3D components to the mechanism (and let it dry)
3. Take out the original air vents in the center of your dashboard
4. Remove the 2 closing mechanisms inside your air duct
5. Slide in your cupholder until it clicks into place.
Disclaimer:
- The cupholder mechanism in the last pictures is not included in this purchase, this set is a DIY (Do It Yourself)
- These air vent cupholders would only fit the center of your dashboard, not the side vents.
- Air would still go through the air vents, but a lot less than before.
- If you would rather not build it yourself and purchase a plug-and-play set, we also offer them complete with a cupholder mechanism.
